The 8th Day of Creation (which is about the best book on the topic of the discovery of DNA by the way) at a flea market on the Columbus Ave in front of the Museum of Natural History for about $4.
Apparently it was a gift to a med student back around 1981 or so. Imagine the surprise when I saw the signature of the Linus Pauling next to the alpha helix structure he discovered and won the Nobel prize for. He passed away in 94 so he won’t be signing much of anything anymore…
