Testing out the unofficial diaspora app on my shiny new android! Not quite sure how this one’s better than the mobile website though.

I think it’s the season for getting new phones from somewhere, somehow. Well at least the tumblr app is about worlds better than it was on my previous device.

Castle
Watching some last minute episode of Castle before prepping for tomorrow. Strangely into mysteries lately. Nathan’s awesome as Castle. The usual mix of humor and murdering hits the spot for me, though I’ve got to say he seem to be settling into a specific kind of role in the shows he work in.

You know what, the biggest competitor to diaspora (at least according to how I use it) might be tumblr, not facebook. Also, my laptop has a new keyboard AND 8GB of RAM to speed things along. I feel like a new man.

Did you know? - A wonderful soul actually hunted down all the books in skyrim and compiled them into mobi/epub format http://bit.ly/tXRz6f I always wanted to do that for games. Someone should compile an ebook of all the writings in Deus Ex 3. I’d actually pay for stuff like that.

Why Firefox Isn't Doomed →
This has been a rough year for Mozilla and its Firefox team. Once the darling of the Web and the champion of the oppressed against Microsoft and Internet Explorer, Firefox is facing stiff competition from its primary benefactor and backlash from users. Chrome also seems to be the preferred browser of Web developers. Naturally, this means speculation about the future of Firefox. Has Firefox had...

‘Amongst the more deceptive of fruits, the pear is not to be trusted.’ -from Dungeons of Dredmor Indie games these days are just too good to pass up. In fact I think most of the high quality games of the year came from small independent operations rather than big name publishers, with very few notable exceptions.

Raking up mad praises in simcity for mobile. About the only decent game for the blackberry platform. Association is a funny thing, and I think of xo pc whenever I think about simcity. So far its greatest contribution seem to have been changing the mindset of corporate execs in PC manufacturing companies rather than those of children its supposed to serve, but then you can never tell true impact...

WatchWatch
Part of the experiment proposal to the ISS. These little suckers are capable of crystallizing DNA molecules within the mesh structure for storage, visualization, and restriction at zero G. (They’re called straws)
